Anyone out there wishing to part with their Malta. Not looking for spares or parts, i would like one in good workign order that, hopefully, would nto let us down.

I have a Malta which has done excellent service for almost 10 years and is still going strong. I think that the Malta is an excellent piece of kit.
If you were in the West Country you would be very welcome to try it out but I would have thought that it was a bit dodgy buying a second hand motor when you are as far away as Oman. How would you get it out there?
My only reason for letting it go is that I want to move to a new 4-stroke. I believe that Yamaha don't produce 2-strokes any more.

Also look at Mercury http://www.robincurnow.co.uk/outboard-motors-mercury.html. The upper list is the wrong way around, but the lower list is correct.
Johnson do a 3.5hp 2-stroke and a 4hp 4-stroke.
