Yamaha F2.5 throttle cable inner

Does anyone know the dimensions of the throttle cable on a Yamaha F2.5a outboard? It should be a very cheap standard part but they only sell it as a complete set. I just need the inner cable as it frays as a result of removing and refitting the carb (yes, I could be more careful, but no not while on a boat!).

I don't want to take it out again to measure as I think it might not go back in so hoping someone else has already measured. I know it's smaller than a bike brake cable nipple as I tried one.

Ok managed to get the barrel out without removing the cable and its 5mm diameter 7mm long. Although there are quick fit barrels I can’t find a reasonably priced cable that size anywhere so I’ve ordered some barrels and will use the cheap bike cables.
