yamaha engines

hi all, thinking of upgrading this year. we are interested in a particular boat and its got twin 240HP yahama ME 420 STI engines, YEAR 1995, they seem in good condition and appear to have been well maintained. i would be grateful and appreciate any views on these engines and any advice on availability for spares,service parts etc.

Oil feed pipe to the turbocharger is worth careful examination, corrosion is a known problem. Apart from that its as good an engine as most.
Do you have outdrives- thats a different story- many problems with these, most seem to start with oil pressure or contamination of the oil.
I would think carefully about having these outdrives, even as a gift!
