Yamaha Enduro 8HP

I have a Yamaha Enduro 8HP (not the same beast as a Yamaha 8HP). I have been reliably informed (by an overseas agent) that it is possible to increase the power from 8HP to 11HP by simply changing the main jet in the carburettor. Does anybody have any experience of this? Does anybody have any idea of the part no. or where such a part may be obtained from?

I d think the best person to ask for details is the agent who reliably informed you that this can be done.

I note that in the current range even the 9.9 Enduro has a significantly larger capacity engine. 246cc compared with 165 cc for the 8 hp

I doubt it, the Enduro is related to the 8b, and the maximum output for that block was 8hp. The 9.9 can be easily uprated because its a detuned 15.
