Hi all, desperately need some help.
Had an outboard on eBay - someone bought it and came to collect it tonight.
Because I'd been running it in a bucket with a bin bag to line the bucket (leaks) I'd not dropped it into gear to avoid chewing up the bag.......
Stupid
Because it now won't drop in or out of gear - the selector seems to have seized.
Question is - is this something I might be able to free off myself - how hard is it to get to the mechanism, can I spray WD40 in there??
Basically they turned it down (understandably) and I am now in a pickle.
I do not want to spend a lot on it as I am selling the motor - how can I get it fixed without taking it to a Yamaha dealer and giving them lots of beer tokens?
Thanks all
