It’s a strange video......touting it as boating on benefits.....but not giving any information about the disability nor the disability system for liveaboards....if it’s just about how to fix up a boat on the cheap, then it’s even a worse video....almost no details provided.
If I was them, I would rename it boating with dogs....and it could make him rich and famous (slightly facetious on my part)

I know someone who’s unhappy he’s lost his winter fuel allowance that he allocates to pay his yacht club fees and has had to use his own money.

Life’s not fair…
I think they should put a case to the DWP that going to the YC all year to keep warm is a far more efficient use of the money than 6 weeks of one's energy bill. Not to discount the added advantage of social care of the elderly, thus provided in such establishments;)

Very true….they need to change the name though….Yacht Club just drips with socialist envy and can’t be allowed to exist

You can't use Boating Club.

Local friend asked on a chat site if anybody wanted to join her for boating on the Charente...
Chat site banned her forthwith. Apparently 'Boating' has other connotations... I directed her to the urban dictionary. Startled her somewhat..

Is that boating in French or boating in English?

Certainly watercraft clubs could provide a social centre which would be great for the isolated old people andtheunemployed all the social services need todo is to provide an old naval duffer to instruct in nautical lingo
