I'm sure I'm not the first to notice this...
Down to B&Q to purchase a tin of varnish for my windowsills. Ahah! International Yacht Varnish - that'll do nicely, I think. And so it has, but just as well I didn't want to use it on my boat because on the 'Suitable Surfaces' section it proudly exclaims "not suitable for floors or marine use".
Is it me, or does the world become a little madder each day?

I seem to remember this matter being raised on the forum some years ago. Something about International selling off that arm of the business with the rights to use the propeller logo. Chances are that it is fine for using below deck if not entirley suitable for the topsides.

I noticed the same product, and the same caveat in B&Q a few years back. I gave it first prize in the category "Cynical commercial exploitation of type one consumers (those who have got better things to do than read labels carefully)"

My prize for cynical exploitation of type two consumers (those who are too thick to know better) goes to the firm that markets "Organic peat"
