Mulling the jobs list for this winter and staring at the somewhat daunting list of service providers at La Trinite (at least in Folleux the choice for most things was pretty simple - Multinautique or Multinautique!). Does anyone have any personal recommendations?

Top of the jobs list currently are engine servicing; investigating degradation in VHF/AIS performance; checking propshaft prop keyway repair done at Darthaven last winter and giving a view on long term reliability/possibly replacing shaft; removing and disposing of diesel generator and making good the hull; and partly connected to the last, taking 18 years worth of (at least eroding) antifoul back to the epoxy. There will doubtless be many more in the future!

Not much use now you're in La Trinite... they have a purpose built facility for 'bottom blasting' in Arzal... : Cabin de sablage des bateaux and Cale d’hydrogommage - Hydro sanding ramp

The French seem to have tightened their approach to boat bottoms generally, even jet washing on lift out is subject to rules - again, in Arzal, there is now a concreted area where they put you after lifting which has a kind of 'ring main' of plug in high pressure jet lances with a carefully built run off - the jet wash is powerful enough to knock you backwards if you're not careful !

Yes, Trinite is enlarging its technical/storage anrea and upgrading the cleaning area to what sounds like a similar ring system to Arzal - don’t know if that extends to media blasting provision though. TBH, it’s our lowest priority (hence why our bottom’s in the state it is) but it’s largely aesthetic - she goes well enough for needs so its firmly on the nice to have side of the list.
