Yacht Services - Gzira, Malta - Excellent Service!!

I have had some pretty bad experiences in Malta over the 18 months that Rogue has been here but, over the past month or so, Charlie, (Carmel Vela), of Yacht Services Malta has done a few jobs for me including:

Sorting out the rigging tensions
fitting 2 new sheaves to the genoa cars - I had the new sheaves, but couldnt remove the spindles.
Supplying and fitting a new mainsail
Supplying and fitting a new Raymarine Wind Transducer
Fitting a new genoa deflector, (supplied by me)

The service, communication and work has been excellent, and exactly as described in their web site. I will definitely be calling on them again for jobs I cant, (or dont want to), do myself.

How did it work out with the keel, in the end?

Not sure how I left it, but I had the bolts replaced with mild steel, just as the originals.

Couldn't agree more. First met Charlie in 2002 while there for Middle Sea Race and the work he did is still going strong. Back again in 2008 and had no hesitation in getting Charlie to replace engine and generator. Despite having to deal with more "typical" Maltese supplying companies he has once again done a fantastic job on time and budget. No recommendations can speak highly enough and you would be stupid to consider anyone else if you need work doing in Malta!

I had good experience with Yacht Services in 1969, when we bought our old motor sailer through their brokerage, dealing with Pat Hurst.
Good to hear the company is still in good hands and thriving.
