Dear classic friends,
is there any hope that my second ask for help is more crowned with succes. In the German classic scene I would tell with pleasure what British-designer built around 1900 this long-lived yacht.LOA:10,60m, beam 2,50m draught 1,45m+ centre-plate (unknown quantity) lead keel 2,5 to. Planking with teak on oak and steel strenghtening. The keek-bolts in red-brass tombac(Cu 88,9% Zn 11,5% Sn 0,06% Pb o,17%) Planking from stem to sternpost and red-brass keelbolts was indication for a good shipyard. The design and style of construction and the proportions LOA to beam to Lwl are identical with the REDWINGS designed and built by Charles E. Nicholsen. (Uffa Fox:Racing Cruising and Design ) A Morris petrol-engine with shaft on port-side, got built later. Records undicate that the name EITHIR Falmouth. About 1960 the yacht mooring with the name ROSSELLA in Genoa/Italy.
Thank you for your attention.
