also does anybody know why most marinas do not allow you to dive on your boat to scrub it, is it that they want you to pay for a lift and scrub???

Probably something to do with liability and the risk of some plonker running his props whilst your in the water-just a thought.

Of course, if you TELL them your doing it they can tell you NOT to LOL. It's a bit like this nonsense about contractors having to pay the marina to provide your boat with any service. As far as I'm concerned, I'd be choosing my own contracters, who just happen to be *cough* close family and friends.

So you will be in breach of marina regulations then? therefore in the event of an accident the insurers will not pay out and you will be personally responsible, obviously your choice though. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Would you really want to dive in the marina amongst all that excrement when you could choose a nearby anchorage, anchor in water shallow enough to allow you to stand on the bottom and apply leverage to the scrubbing brush, and be immersed in excrement that is much more diluted?
