Poem – Sailing.

Up goes the sail
And flaps and wails
We choose a course
We had chips and source
Up and down the waves
We all have to be brave
There goes the horn
The beginning of the race is born
In the lead we race ahead
And some of the crew are in bed

By Alice

Written yesterday for homework by my 11 year old, rather sweet, i think, so thought i would share it.

Excellent Alice, are you sure Daddy goes racing with people still in bed?
if so, I want to come and crew for you.

Alice, that was a lovely poem
But, be warned, here's something worth knowin'
Once you start, you can't stop goin'
Everything rhymes, and the words keep flowin'
Even in maths, there'll be evidence showin'!
pi times two = a big belly growin'
