Yacht Parts Plymouth Gone tits up.

Seems a shame the industry is in a real mess.

Not very surprising if that's correct, their recent move away from QAB could not have been good for business, especially with Marine Bazaar just down the road and F4 in their old spot.

Have just spoken with Marine Bazaar and they confirm that the YP shop has shut but will continue to sell online, so they have NOT gone bust.

Force 4 moved into QAB. I wonder if that was the nail in the coffin.
I always liked Yacht Parts of Plymouth. Have had good service from them in the past.

By order of the liquidators. On line auction

That is a real shame and we've lost one of the characters of Plymouth sailing. Andy Salmonsons knowledge of the yachting and chandlery world was extensive. I know that he was forced out of his site by the huge rents and taxes he was paying. MDL threatened him by saying they would bring Force 4 in but he thought he could compete using his reputation. Sadly it all seems to have gone wrong. I called in the other week and couldn't understand why they were closed.
