As a matter of interest, when did you do the night part of the exam? Also how many were doing the course? The exam has a defined period - as per the RYA web site

[ QUOTE ]
The Yachtmaster® Offshore test lasts 8-12 hours for one candidate and 10-18 hours for two.

My exam, with 2 YM candidates and one coastal skipper started at 09.00 and finished at 01.15 the following day. It seems a bit short to me unless you started at 14.00 and finished at 07.30 the next day. In which case, well done /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

I also thought it was a bit short, (as was mine... started 10am, finished at 5.15pm), but that is a question for the examiner, not the candidate. presumably the examiner had seen enough and was happy to sign it off. The alternative is to suggest to the examiner that he test you for a while longer???

Maybe a short exam isnt a "good" exam in terms of being testing, but once you've got the ticket, you've got the ticket.

"charter fishing here we come"

Well done.

You might also want to check MCA Regs for charter fishing, particularly any requirement for a Boatmaster Licence.
