Hi all,

a long shot I know, but does anyone know what type of yacht Lucy currently moored at Heybridge Basin is? It is a beautiful ketch with classic lines - I'd love to do some research to find out whether that type of yacht is feasible for my retirement plans.

Here's hoping!

David

Hi David, Lucy was Designed by Henk Tingen, the chief naval architect for Royal Huismann, he had this yacht built by for his own use by Kok Shipyard at Muiden near Amsterdam. . She is vey pleasing on the Eye and solidly put together. unfortunately for me she doesn't compare to modern yachts internally in volume and usability.

Hi,
thank you so much! What a resource this place is.
OK, so she's a one-off.
Good news is that she's in my budget - bad news I wasn't planning on retiring just yet!
Regards,
David

at 46ft its a shame she is not configured as a live/extended use aboard, at 16 tonne and that underwater profile I would not like to handle her in a tight marina, and definitely not a not a single hander....... but OMG she is so pretty!!!
