Yacht Insurance for 30 year old liveaboard...

Any problems of getting yacht insurance for a 30 year old yacht (40-50K value) as a liveaboard ? Ideally I'd like the option of more than 3rd party. I believe I've read on here that Pantaenus for example don't cover 30 year yachts unless previously ensured with them.

Attended use in Europe and a Caribbean circuit.

Regardless of what you've read on these forums, I'd give Pantaenius a ring. We're in the same price and age category as you, we have been with P since 1996 and have found them to provide good service and sensible advice.

Ours is 28 years old, were with Navigators and General via GH Insurance ( www.ghinsurance.com ). On a par with Pantaenius. You can negotiate in the tricky areas for cruising as well if you want the far E Med' areas.
