I am with GJW direct put in a claim last year got some floating warp caught around the prop and caused oil leaks on my gear box, it was all sorted out within the week they were very helpfull, beats car insurance any day.
I know they cover for racing as well.

I have used K.C. Powell and found them very flexible and settling claim was hassle free. They are prepared to tailor to individual requirements.
You might also like to consider Mariners General, in the USA. I deal with their Florida Office in Bradneton. I have found them very flexible and ready on call 24/7 to advise on unexpected emrgencies (even on 'Thanksgiving') Very competitively priced and will insure in the UK as their policies are actually underwritten in the UK. PM me if you would like contact details. Settling a claim was no problem.
