After talking with the RYA, I have been advised that my recent purchase of an 18ft day sailor renders is one of the following; Lysander, Prelude, Westerley Jouster, Sonata.

Has anybody got any info on the above ??

Well I'm a little bit confused - none of those craft is an 18-foot daysailor. All have cabins: The Lysander is a 17 foot Percy W Blandford design (mid-1960's?) built in wood, usually from plans or a kit. The Prelude is a 19 foot Ian Proctor design (early-70's) in GRP. The 21 foot Jouster was a bit of a deviation from the late-60's norm for Westerly - sitting headroom only, transom-hung rudder - but built to their usual "brick-outhorse" standard of construction.

The Hunter Sonata, which has its own website, is a 23-foot production cruiser racer by David Thomas derived as a more civilised version of his 25-foot radical racer Quarto design which, in its day, featured on Tomorrow's World.
