Hi,

Seems particularly important after the arrests story. A friend and I have found a very good value 39 foot yacht for sale near Monaco (part of a business deal). The inventory is a little light but she is apparently in excellent condition. Neither of us have much time and would like to base her on the West Coast of Scotland. Has anyone any experience of yacht transport companies, costs, what to look out for and what really matters? I may be able to make it on legs of the trip, but certainly not all, is this usualy?

Major departure for me this, so any advice welcomed.

Nearly forgot - this was for road delivery to Breskens, Holland but they do many more destinations. Bear in mind the costs of road transport including a cross channel trip are massive in comparison. May be best to get the boat to a North Sea or Channel port, sail her to the UK then use a UK transport firm to the West of Scotland. Do a search on here for satisfied users of UK boat transport.

We used "Professional Yacht Deliveries" from Bodo (North Norway) to the West coast a year ago. Very satisfied. I have no link with them other than as a satisfied customer.
