Yacht corrosion - under water fittings

Has anyone used a system like this to test their underwater fittings for corrosion control . I just wonder how they got on, do these testing kits work ?

Basically ITYWF a very high impedance millivoltmeter and a silver/silver chloride reference electrode.
Various similar techniques are used to monitor the operation of cathodic protection systems generally.
Way, way back I can remember using a "copper half cell"

Another similar one to the Sterling one , using a silver/silver chloride electrode and mentioned on here before, is http://www.galvatest.com/galvatest_kit.html

Using them correctly and interpreting the results will be the key to success I suspect

Something similar is built in as a control system to the Mercruiser "Mercathode" impressed current system ITYWF. Also the VP equivalent whose name escapes me
