The boats are not always in perfect condition - we had to swap a yacht for another two years ago when the transmission jammed in reverse..
We had fun reversing back onto the berth but a replacement was found. We asked for some reduction in charter fee as we lost a couple of hours but no joy.
I'm trying to be fair, I have used the same company for 10-15 years and this is the only time we had a problem due to them sending a boat out which they shouldn't have.
I'm glad the problem became evident only a km from the Trident marina in Kinsale!
