Y10 - Safe to use on canopy \'window\'?

I ordered some Y10 to remove rust stains on parts of the gelcoat (Few suspect screws - now replaced)

Question is, there is some rust stains (that I can feel when I rub my finger over) on a bit of the 'window' part of my canopy. Is Y10 safe to use on this? Or should I just try the Mythbusters method and leave some Coca-Cola on it overnight and hope for the best?

Re: Y10 - Safe to use on canopy \'window\'?

Does the 'rust' mark on the plastic window coincide with a metal support strut pressing on it. If so, the window has probably burned with the sun heating up the strut. I've had this problem and there is no solution other than to replace the window and cover the strut with pipe lagging (doesn't look as bad as it sounds)
Of course, if this is not your problem then I hope further postings will find the cure.

The weird thing is that there is NO rust on the stainless bar, it's spotless. But yes it's there because of the stainless support pressing against it

I'll try dipping it in coke for the night. It doesn't bother me enough to replace, it's only cosmetic

I had the same problem with burn marks on canopy windows, I managed to remove them with T Cut.

OK so first i'll try coke. I'll try Y10 on a really tiny area if the Coke doesn't work. If that doesn't work i'll try T-Cut (Although don't have any at home so would like to avoid buying a bottle just for that)

I googled their website http://www.sailcloth.co.uk/ and they've no pictures of their products (except for a few) so don't know what i'm looking for. Thanks for the link though
