The brief-

To test batteries by running one of those spawns of Satan to run a laptop until the inverter then the laptop shut down (hibernate)

Step two- as I'm unlikely to be there at that moment, when I restore power and un-hibernate, some way of discerning the time elapsed from time of switch on to time of hibernation...

Pity I don't possess an old non electronic electric clock/calender...

Now, who's storm-bound enough?

Seriously though, thanks for any ideas-

Nick

The Windows Event Log will tell you when the laptop shutdown / went to hibernate. Google will show you how to view it.
