XP experts with time on hands...almost a YAPP

The brief-

To test batteries by running one of those spawns of Satan to run a laptop until the inverter then the laptop shut down (hibernate)

Step two- as I'm unlikely to be there at that moment, when I restore power and un-hibernate, some way of discerning the time elapsed from time of switch on to time of hibernation...

Pity I don't possess an old non electronic electric clock/calender...

Now, who's storm-bound enough?

It needed a little extra fettling to set the user flag for shutdown to 'on' then it seems to record the event-
