I love the look of the little 740RS and even more the 740 hardtop. Does anyone know if the price quoted in this months MBM includes the motor?

If it does, the £37k or 42k respectively seems very good value

It definitely is for a Scandinavian boat but in the US it's not far off the price of a sports fisher cat of that size with twin outboards included :(

I guess that's a no then. If the price is right, why would you buy a rib?
As an ex secondhand RIB owner, I've always wondered why they are so expensive when new. For the price of a stripped out 25ft RIB, you can get a 25ft cabin cruiser with the same kind of performance. I think it has something to do with the fact that the RIB market has a lot of small manufacturers in it and the same economies of scale don't apply as for the mobo market. I also think that RIBS are a bit of a fashion accessory for some people and they're willing to pay top dollar

Looking at MBM this month the cabin version of the XO is 7.4 meters, deep v with 24 degree deadrise at the transom, big windows, standing headroom and a loo. All for £45k with a couple of options (spoke to the dealer today)

Or you could buy the new 7.5m ribeye (also in MBM) which has, er, a really nice wooden table/sunpad arrangement for £60k!!!!

Well stop faffing about and go and buy one then:)

Just got the prices for the demo boats (240 Open and Cabin with 250 Etec) and its considerbly more than the prices shown here!

The two demo boats they are selling are reduced from the introductory prices but still. made me think again for sure!

real shame as these were very interesting to us and looking over them at the show, they appear well put together!

We reviewed them in the October 2012 issue of MBM. The open is £54k with a 250hp outboard, with the cabin at £63k with the same engine. Still great prices though!

Video of them too

Usual story! Not with a few extras that the majority would consider essential! ( plotter, heater, carpets and arch....)

Not saying they are not a great boat. just as usual, the headline price for the demonstrator boat is significantly more than the cost shown in the magazine and the introduction prices for new builds are higher still
