Bough some xmas lights the other day. Just the plain white ones. They give a nice warm glow and you can move them around to find the best effect. Only £1.99 for 19 bulbs. They draw 17 watts in total.

Got pretty coloured lights on that. Might put them on the forestay to light up the nodding reindeer on the foredeck though.

Had to move the snow blower, neighbours in the marina got a bit funny about it.

To save me looking it up, could someone remind me of the correct lights to be displayed by a sleigh, and whether it is considered a vessel constrained by its down draught, please ?

actually the whole kit and caboodle will be unlit in order to try and avoid a spot check under the as yet only proposed drinking whilst in charge of fictional vehicle regulations 2008 ( an amendment to the Myhthical Creatures Misuse Act 1848)
based on UK figures alone at around 21 million households at 25 cl glass of sherry per household, santa consumes 525000 litres of sherry in the uk alone

unde the prposed regs this would be several times over the limit
even allowing for the fact that the de facto navigator is a reindeer

it is believed the 21 million carrots are shared out between the team and may not impare rudolph's passage plan which is done in november.

Rudolph's glowing red nose is usually considered sufficient.

Strictly speaking, doesn't that mean that Rudolph should fly with his head turned to the left? And which reindeer has a green nose? /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Excuse me but Rudolph is a she - male reindeer lose their antlers in the winter....

That goes against what I saw on TV last night.
3 reindeer have visited Cornwall as part of a Christmas promotion and the presenter said that reindeer are unusual in that both sexes lose their antlers.
It was too warm for them down here and they are returning to their home in Scotland today. They did, however, appreciate the quality of Cornish lichen, their favourite food.

Re: xmas lights and ColRegs

Why is Rudolph the only reindeer with a glowing red nose?

'Cos he has the best brakes... /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

"All of the other reindeer, used to laugh and call HIM names; they never let poor Rudolph join in any reindeer games..."
