I have been watching the forecast for the last few days. We have had some nasty stuff through, 60mph wind, confirmed by some missing fence panels! but also had a couple of decent short windows. Will the wind back off from 25mph between 11am and 3pm Xmas Eve?. Me, boat and crew have fingers crossed, but wont be holding breath. Just maybe it will back off a bit early. . . . . if not the Vintage Port and Mince Pies will get attacked early!

Weather around Tuesday mid-day, judging from the met office forecast charts, looks "do-able". SW 4/5 looks a good bet. Problem this coming week seems to be continued unsettled weather with systems coming through all the time. You will need to pick your time to get back. The River Medina yesterday afternoon was deserted ...... except for ourselves who needed some shopping in Newport and elected to go by boat rather than drive by road. Plan worked well.

Yes I am hopeful, I plan to leave at 11.00am if at all. I must say I like your deal of shopping by boat, pity I cant do that in Winchester!

Hello Chum

I can't make it, I'd be needing to catch a lift anyway.

Might see you over the break, are you taking the car anywhere on Boxing day?

Hi Ben, If it is not pouring I will be at the Boxing Day Romsey morning meet with the SP250. Took it down to the boatyard today to do a couple of jobs, and somebody volunteered to get the H28 seat frames shotblasted! Nice Xmas pressie!
