Team,

We're speccing a new build with Princess and have been offered an optional Xenta joystick control. My experience to date only includes the Volvo joysticks on IPS boats and a Yachtcontroller unit on shaft driven boats. I have no experience with Xenta and indeed had never heard of them until now. A few posts here after searching but not much info out there. Any experiences from the forum - good, bad, or ugly?

Given I learnt to steer many moons ago on a single shaft and no bowthruster, I keep telling myself both bow and stern thrusters controlled from the helm will be more than enough, however I've used a Yachtcontroller on sea trials of a few boats and also on short med charters this summer, the icing on the cake was the remote which could be used anywhere and could drop the anchor whilst standing at the bow aiming for the sandy bottom spot, lower the hilo platform, and I especially liked watching the captain reversing into the berth when standing on the rear deck with great visibility to side and aft.

Is Yachtcontroller generally the one to go for if you want a remote, or are there other brands I should be checking out? Boat will have ZF transmission.

Thanks
