A few of these 'floating' around the South, anyone familiar with the vessels?

Are they good 'sea' boats or does the hull design place too much on speed rather than overall 'handling/control' in a sea? (i.e North Sea not Atlantic!)

I dont know too much about their handling, I have read the biography of Hubert Scott Paine (still available from aerobook company) who built alot of them, there is a couple for sale around the place. Would be well worth talking to Phil Claburn or the BMPT

The rest of them were built by Pater Du Canne (Vosper), they were an amazing piece of kit, they handled superbly, mainly because of the hull design. you should see the sad tim buckets they replaced them with
