Wrong hull make no wonder I was struggling

Hi I posted a pm last week looking for help with bilge keels for a princess hull.i have been informed that it is a Bruce Campbell halmatic 27.as any one any thought about putting bilge keels on her.as it dries out where I am going to moor her.many thanks.kind regards.

Perhaps more practical would be to fit detatchable legs on each side so the fine keel takes the weight and the legs keep ti upright. google or search yacht legs. olewill

If you don't want to drill holes you could make a cradle like the ones that are used in Looe. I'm fairly sure that there's a webcam there that would give you an idea what they look like. You would need to look when the tide is out to get a proper idea about how they work.

Wouldn't that require the harbourmaster or someone's permission.
They used to have piles in Bridlington harbour for propping yachts on until they went all posh.

Great pedigree hull, it is still in manufacture as a river cruiser somewhere in and around the broads or east coast.

Fairey versions of that hull sometimes had a 'Jersey Keel' which was a scaffold pole type affair plus legs so they could dry out.

Either as above or bilge keels will hit fuel economy, performance and handling.
