Following a splendid bob at anchor in the glorious warm sunshine of Osborne Bay on Saturday we were gently ambling back up Southampton Water around 5.00 p.m. when, in line astern, came :-

Queen Mary 2 ( bound for New York - according to AIS )

Independance of the Seas ( bound for Vigo)

Aurora ( bound for Lisbon )

and

a very ugly slab sided car carrier. (Didn't bother to look where that was going )

But what a fantastic sight to see the three passenger vessels in line astern, just a pity I didn't have my camera to hand.

A fine sight indeed. We had a stable platform from which to view them - being aground in the entrance channel to Bembridge at the time.

It was! It appeared that the outdrive had come away from the hull. Need for pumps etc.

Yes it was because we were following the Independance most of the way and you might have snapped us!

We had some friends on Independance and were waving them off. Her indoors took some nice photos, maybe we snapped you! I'll take a closer look.
