Could be making room for all the part ex boats to come after SIBS /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
If you want a good used boat with good aftersale then EBY is the place to be at the moment.
It might not be that much of a bargain, I rang about an s38 that was v cheap, turned out it was a reject from sealine it had cracks all over the chines under the saloon seating in particular had been surveyed and sealine wshed there hands of it, that says it all, essex said it would cost 20k to put it right, so was back up the price of a good one (if one actually exists) so whats the point.

I could be wrong, but that looks like a mistake, unless something is seriously amiss.
Even tired and elderly S34's manage to make £85k or thereabouts.

... yes, although a few weeks ago Essex did have a well-specced 1998 Fairline Targa 37 that came and went very quickly at 95k - again, materially undercutting the rest of the market. So this might not be a mistake, it could just be a case of needs must.
Looks and innovation is great but I have a saying, that you can never blunt a drill bit when working on a sealine as they seem to be so soft and thin on the grp, sorry if your offended do you own one?
Have to disagree, Paul. I've blunted a few bits before now, and broken a couple. The 2.5" holesaw through the side deck was very hard work, though a 22mm wood drill makes short work of the steps up to the flybridge.
No, mine is a Doral with armour plated grp, saw how thick it is when they were fitting the bowthruster, quite comforting to know. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
Sounds like you love drilling holes in your boat, do you buy your bits from b&q ? the thing about sealines is that you get stress cracks where you dont get on other boats , I personally think that a hand laid hull is better than the spray job sealine do, and vacuum tech is on the up now so maybe they will go that way next?, F37 is nice boat shame they dont put bigger engines in, though did see one with 300 yanmars in bet it goes well.
Can the same be said for all Sealines? I was considering an S23 but read something about stress cracks around the transom area? Now considering a Jeanau (sp?) Leader 805
It's already happening. S29 and SC29 hulls are vacuum bagged, Also T60 and T50 (i think).
F37 is available with D6-310, will be D6-330, which goes nicely.
Newer builds like the SC38 are substantially reinforced (the extra 400kg over an S38 isn't just the roof), and many of the older ones like the F37 / F43 were built like tanks in the first place.
Trouble is, it's a bit of a mixed bag, and not all the other models were as solid...
