Wow 4900 revs

My upstairs starboard rev counter, is suddenly reading about 1500 revs higher than it should be. Is there a cure. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Oh and whilst I'm at it, does any one know some where quick, that I can get a new, shore power socket, the one screwed to the boat. It's bloody freezing.

Filing the obvious that the engine is overrevving look at the sensing circuit. If its taken off the alternator then you may have a blown alternator diode.

Remember that shore power socket that was buzzing and fizzing. Well it welded itself to the plug. Then bunt out here in Holyhead of all places.

Mending it tempararily took only a few minutes.

Loosing the wire down a big black hole 3 feet deap took a whole lot more inginuity to get back, involving, whole arm down a 4" hole and a long bent piece if wire on the end, fishing. Had a dam sight more luck, than I've ever had in the sea. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
