Live in from Mexico some pics of the boat that we are looking at. My skipper is over there now. Says that rigging, hull and engine all fine condition. Halyards/sheets, some galley stuff needs to be replaced, maybe electrics.....but otherwise a sound boat. Would cost us 32KUS.
Any opinions on this boat gratefully received.
p.s We are fans of ferro
Check out the blog linked below for the pics.
Thanks.

It was built by a guy in Derbyshire who used to be a peacenik in the 60's but then got put away for doing drugs and so his mate finished it for him and then sold it.
So we think it has a good pedigree.
Actually, it was built professionally in a shipyard in Canada and is USCG registered and has nice green cushion things you can put on the flush deck.

She's a pretty boat. If she's right for you, go for it. doesn't really matter what anyone (including me /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif, I'd only go for steel for bluewater cruising) thinks about ferros if she's what you want. Best of luck.

But if I hang out at the top of the mast then we'll be safe won't we? We won't hit things then and risk shattering the hull!
If we go ahead and buy, and it looks like we will, it might be an interesting story to follow for a few years and/or until we sink.
He he! I've always gone for the underdog and now it looks like I'm doing the same with boats!

personally it doesnt have enough hulls, but does look a nice design.

I have heard of cats made of steel, and of aluminium, GRP and wood, but never one made of ferro - do you think this is discrimination? /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
