All of the distinguished posters that have done at least the main shoe shops , Saxone, shoes'r'us in fact anywhere for a longish day out - is it possible to adjust to "normal" life again by buying your shoes in Tescos?

Forget the shoes you short git. Spend the money on buying me that beer you've been postponing for the last five months.

It all rather depends upon the chosen footwear.

IMHO the Scandinavian shoes, such as Ecco, tend to be better built than the average offerings from Clarks etc. Of course, the more traditional English shoes, from Grensons and Loakes etc, do have greater style. But, are they any more comfortable when walking upwind in a f9 on Oxford St?

I've tried the normal shoe shops, I can't adjust to slush puppies, my rotten deckies are about to expire so I will have to toddle and limp off to Tesco I fear for a pair of jellies

Love

Ian

Don't Tescos do a good line in snakeskin shoes ?

That's exactly when your traditional, heavy-welted english brogue comes into its own, moving with the gale not slamming like some lightweight modern euro-shoe.

You try walking a mile in them
