So ....
Engines are running, flood tide into a narrow entranced harbour with a nasty shingle bank just east of the main channel, W/SW Wind .... Boat is a ~30'er ...
Engine(s?) loose power, you've called Sea Start who are on their way to help and you've instructed your crew to lower the anchor so you don't end up in worse trouble ...
Problem is, the anchor isn't holding and Sea Start are not in sight yet ....
Well - luckily I was out with my Dad in the club patrol boat, noticed that it was an odd place to anchor (but these fishing folk are funny) then wondered why the anchor was under the nose, so went over to ask if they were ok .... Very calm crew & skipper just said that Sea Start had been called and they had no power ...
We quickly rigged a tow and pulled them back out into the main channel, by which time Sea Start were in sight, held them head to tide whilst Sea Start rigged an alongside tow, then they were off to Sparks ...
If you are the skipper/crew hope you got it sorted /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif and thanks for giving us something to do on the usual boring patrol duties whilst everyone else gets to race ....
