I'm in the process of putting my Mercury 7.5 O/B back together and I need a few parts.

The cost of just three of them - two gaskets and a baffle plate 26,27,28 in the diagram at the bottom comes to £50.55 from a UK supplier.

Two different US websites will sell them online for £18.24 which would be great, but both have informed me that they are not allowed to ship Mercury parts out of the US

What a stitch up!

Any suggestions as to where I can get the bits?

Most of the US sites will add a sales tax and the cost of shipping stuff over is expensive and Slowwwww plus you will get hit for import duty and then VAT on the entire shebang !

Twas ever thus, with Mercury engines. I remember thinking how expensive the parts were even in the 1970s

Mind you, Yamaha parts aren't cheap either. Nor are BMW brake pads, etc etc

They do. I have the catalogue at home so went through it but they did not have those bits in it. Still I suppose its worth a phone call just in case. I'll post back if they can supply them
