Has anyone else noticed a difference in the amount of fouling they are getting this season? I followed the same process this year as alway, using Hempel Tiger Extra and the difference in the amount of slime is significant! The boat has only been in the water since start of April and used regularly. Wondering if there are some unusual conditions here in the West Country this year that would explain it or there is something else in play?

How has the water temperature compared with previous years ?

Interesting, I suffer from the opposite, same anti foul, same mud 1/2 berth and brackish water. Not one passenger has appeared so for.

I wonder if its because
1. the nutrient run off is low because of the winters heavy rain fall.
.2 . the sea temperature too low

Friday, crossing to St, Just heavy spray (Power boat) required wiper's on most of the way. Saturday cleaned windows, cloth full of green algae, never had that before .
Times are a changing!!!

I launched my boat four weeks ago in Portsmouth Harbour with Micron Extra applied as usual. I am already getting the beginnings of the usual brown slime, in spite of the boat being used fairly frequently, which does seem earlier than usual. I suspect it's a combination of warmer than usual water and more sunshine.

yep, I've thought it was worse in Portsmouth this year.

My hull is completely clear. Applied Copper Coat, launched, in water for 2 weeks before complete engine failure has seen her re lifted. She now sits in the Yacht club yard. No chance of any fouling in the near future.
