Worrying LPG readings in my gas locker

I think 2mins is too long and does seem to be recording a leak.

You do not need to test your Alde as you know it is working. As someone else said, the times I have accidentally, briefly, used the tester, with one gas jet on low, it has not caused a problem.

I had a great problem finding a small leak, it turned out to be the braided hose to the cooker which was weeping intermittently. In that case I could smell it. Try your sensor along the flexible line as you move it with your other hand.

Without being dotty, don't be too frightened of the leak, it has to leak a bit for you to be able to find it. At least you have the sensor and can monitor any build up in the bilge. Remember you leak is probably tiny. Most, if not all, of the horror stories concern massive gas discharges which have been unnoticed and unsuspected.

Depending on the age of the cooker you may find that the grease in the control taps has dried out hence a very slight let-by and the alarm from the grille when the taps turned off.

Just one thought-I have two gas sniffers in the bilge-impact adesive(the smell of)will set them off plus various other substances.
Also if the locker drains overboard from its bottom surely any small amounts of gas will go overboard?
