You can buy bits of ss wire shaped a bit like a staple, to crimp bungee...

I have discovered that these are generally known as Hog Rings.

Hog Rings Loose 1/2" - Stainless Steel for 6.5mm Shockcord
Price:£12.46 (Exc VAT at 20%) 586 Hog Rings (approx)

Hog Rings Loose 3/4" - Stainless Steel for 8mm Shockcord
Price:£12.46 (Exc VAT at 20%) 422 Hog Rings (approx)

Ideally I need some for 10mm, but perhaps I can squeeze it into the 8mm.

Anyone got a cheaper source? I don't mind buying in bulk, I'm sure I could sell them off here or eBay.

I got some from West Marine several years ago together with the special crimping tool, don't know current price.

Some times I have used 3 mm stainless wire and bent it with heavy pliers. Not as neat as proper ones but holds OK. I have also covered hog rings with white self amalgamating tape or even large heat shrink some times.

Searching Ebay UK seems to bring up mostly US suppliers.
