Apologies if you are happily settled and not interested in a potential work & lifestyle change - in which case stop reading now!

But in case you've ever considered living & working in NZ I would be interested to hear from you if you have any of the following types of skills:

- Business strategy / consulting / change
- Project / programme management
- Technical implementation experience esp. Microsoft / Java development
- ERP skills esp. SAP
- Financial ops experience

I work for the NZ operation of a large business consulting organisation and I'm looking for bright new staff to join the expanding business here and I can't find enough people from within NZ alone. I came out to Auckland from UK about 18 months ago myself and it has been a great experience including a much higher quality of sailing life!

In the first instance please send me a brief PM if you are interested and think you might have relevant experience and we'll take it from there.

Cheers.

Come on Robb - why would we be even slightly interested in the lifestyle out there?
Can you compete with an infrastructure that includes both the M25 and M3?
Do you have low cost airlines like Easyjet and Ryan Air?
Could we get out of the office early (say 1800h) on a Friday?

Hahaha. The other day I was describing to a UK friend in a completely matter-of-fact way what I had been doing he said "Ah, so basically you have a lifestyle job then!". Until that moment it hadn't really occurred to me just different life had become between what I had in the UK and what I now have here and it isn't really that hard to find - it kind of comes naturally and indeed the culture is to encourage it. For instance, every Monday morning an email bulletin comes out summarising the last week's events and it nearly always includes reference to a list of amazing sporting achievements by our staff who have managed to find a healthy worlk-life balance. Numerous triathlon's and the world-famous Cost-to-Coast race are typical. Me, I'm stupid enough to be competing in a 4.5km sea swim race this Sunday - the biggest problem I've had with training has been avoiding the local shark community!
