I suppose if I had paid up to £7000 for a 'sustificate' of completion, I would want to pick the weather, too!

I remember someone saying, a few years ago, that 10% of the fleet were likely to be 'competitors', and the rest were 'whitebait'. D'you think the pubs around Falmouth are likely to need more beer soon?

the truest sign of any sailor is to know your limits,Body, Mind and inner strenght.
Any fool can say "Yes" , but a strong person can say "No" and not worry what Dix n Armchair hero's say.
Next year will come!!
And anyway whats wrong with staying in port and drinking /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif It should be part of any good passage plan,(plan "F" don't go - drink beer!).

Actually, I agree! And most of the 'weather havens' mentioned have good pubs, wot do good grub.....

I can't remember what the Special Regulations say about stopping for a while and going to the pub until the rain stops, and that's probably 'cos the peeps I used to sail with could make up their own minds about what was on, and what was not.

"Wooses", I say!
