Wooden yacht insurance

Good morning , I’m in the middle of purchasing a cold moulded half Tonner built in 1978. I was hoping someone could recommend some insurers that would cover something of that age and wooden . Survey completed last week

I have found Simon Winter (Simon Winter Marine: Classic Yacht & Pleasure Craft Insurance - Home) to be very helpful. Simon has a deep understanding of classic craft.

I would imagine that with an up to date survey report, most of the normal recommendations would be able to offer cover. Yachtmaster Insurance Services in Woodbridge would be one option. There are plenty of wooden boats locally to them, and they cover lots on the Norfolk Broads too.

+1 for both. Personally insured with Simon Winter, but have also had good dealings with Yachtmaster.
