Is there any company's out there that can supply profiled hardwood trim? Need to redo some rotten bits , it's rounded with a cutout in the back fairly basic and needed in 3m lengths, or any good suppliers of hardwood in the glasgow area and I can get the profile cut? Thanks

Robbins in Bristol advertise custom mouldings. I've bought other things from them and can't fault quality or service, though I can often beat their prices when local suppliers have what I need.

Depending on your technical skiils, have you considered buying a router and doing it yourself? Depending on the complexity of course. I got a router many years ago for a specific job as it was cost efective to do so but could not think of what else I'd use it for. Since then it is probably the most used power tool I have after the drill.

Luckily the boat sits right next to a good joiners who help me out, trying to find even the blanks we need seems difficult

I'd be surprised if Robbins couldn't help. They custom-made a sheet of plywood for me, as it seems nobody supplies cherry-faced ply any more, only MDF.

You don't say what size you want, but if you have access to machining facilities there should be no difficulty in buying sawn boards of reasonable mahogany from a specialist timber merchant. Certainly available from Robbins in Bristol as already suggested or search for a local merchant where you can see the boards before buying. Useful to cut from one board if the timber is on show and bright finished.

Thanks, very close to what I'm after but think we need it in mahogany, to keep in with the rest of the trim

Mahogany can be a real pain to match up and the colour can vary enormously. There are many types and sometimes other woods are passed off as mahogany. If a good match is essential it may be best to see it before buying.
