Now that I'm reupholstering the boat. I was thinking of doing up some of the wood work. Sand down and refinish. But what is it. It dont look like varnish. Princess 35.

I've seen some nice interiors done in a light coloured satin laquer with a small amount of wood trim. probably needs to be sprayed though. You could also consider a blonding technique. Home improvement magazines have info on this sort of thing.
Let us know what you decide.

Use wire wool and satin finish varnish, our Princess came up well better than new.

Try Ronseal quick drying clear varnish. (clear satin) It dries in twenty minutes and does a very good finish. They sell it at B&Q.

Insides of mine are plain teak , very fine sanded, then use plain teak oil. Note... use the thin stuff (international) NOT the thick cheap stuff. Rub it on with a rag or a paintbrush. Looks great
