We have a 1970 Camper Nicholson 43 timber vessel, called Reeve, based in Lagos, Portugal. We are having difficulty in obtaining a matching wood filler for teak. We're using International Schooner varnish. Would be grateful for any help.

Use the saw dust / sanding dust to fill any gaps . Mix it with glue , varnish or some expensive clear filler made to mix with dust thats probably made from glue or varnish .

Well Brummer Green Label would be the obvious answer over here although colour match is tricky

They do a teak one as I recall but it would be a bit of a stab in the dark to assume it matched your application. You could always try geting them to mix up something particularly for you.

I keep a few jam jars filled with various saw dusts which I mix with appropriate adhesive.

I never found any of the 'wood fillers' worked very well, but perhaps they are better now than when I last used 'em.

I find with teak dust, the "filler" just goes black and stays that way. I use teak dust with varnish or normal wood glue (clear).

I did not follow that last post. When you say with teak dust the filler goes black what do you mean? You recommend teak dust mixed with varnish or wood glue. What have you tried mixing with the teak dust that goes black? Just wanting to make sure I do not make this mistake.
