Woken up at 0400

By what I thought were a load of yobs having a go at boat, jumping all over the back alongside Kingston nr John Lewis. Went out to find a bunch of kids skinny dipping off the bathing platform. What do you say, just couldn't help laughing.

Kids ?? 0400 ? Regardless of fun element sounds highly dangerous to me. Two young girls drowned in River Wear yesterday.

Not sure I would care to spend the night outside John Lewis !

Probably not too bad midweek, but would not fancy it on a weekend when the clubbers are at it!

There have also been a good few that have drowned there as well.

May well be students from the local clubs but most are closed at the moment outside JL is ok but far nicer places just up and to the right!

A couple of years ago I was moored at Peterborough embankment during a music festival when two streakers (male unfortunatley) ran acrcoss the boat in front and jumped in.
I did find this rather amusing but the sight of the security guards pulling them out over the concrete edge (whilst facing foward, think about it!) did make me cringe.
I wonder what he thought in the morning with a hang over and gravel rash in an odd place!

That happened to us once in the park at Cookham, only it was a hen party and hence all chicks!

Trouble was it was really dark....sheesh
