Hello,
is there a way to access WMO bulletins text by their header, in particular by email queries to static internet addresses?
A number of them are available through the NOAA server
Index of /data/raw/fq
for example FQNT50 and -52 are the two daily Metarea 2 bulletins, or the Shipping Forecast is FPUK71
https://tgftp.nws.noaa.gov/data/raw/fp/fpuk71.egrr..txt
There are many other bulletins which could be interesting but are not stored in the NOAA server, ex FQME24 FQMQ54 FQNT42 etc etc, basically all text bulletins: can they be accessed somewhere ? I searched the WMO site and apart from "the World biggest information exchange etc etc" I could not find a way of accessing the single documents by header.
For example, the Metarea 3 bulletins (Western and Eastern) can be found online here:
WMO-IMO WWMIWS
but they have dynamic internet addresses so it's impossible to query them by email, example
Bulletin display

Frank, maybe?
regards

Has this got anything to do with your query?

Today, the close cooperation between IMO, WMO and the International Hydrographic Organization (IHO) ensures that ships have automatic access to maritime safety information. This includes navigational warnings, meteorological warnings and forecasts through the IMO/WMO Worldwide Met-Ocean Information and Warning Service (WWMIWS)5 and the World-Wide Navigational Warning Service (WWNWS)6. The three Organizations coordinate to provide maritime safety information,7 undoubtedly contributing to safer voyage planning.

Thanks for your interest Coopec :)
That is the kind of information one finds in internet, WWMIWS etc seem to be appropriate for vessels having a full/wide band internet access, or having dedicated systems like SafetyNet etc.
I was more after some sort of similar repository of data made available for average leisure sailing vessel whose internet access is limited to email queries. Weather bulletins have one WMO header: one wmo header <--> one text file, with static address to be queried by email.

I'm sure you already know this, but US text forecasts are available by return email

for example an email sent to:

query@saildocs.com

containing the text

send AXNT20.KNHC

will return the current atlantic tropical weather discussion

mailasail has a similar service

Yes my aim is indeed being able to use saildocs queries for the largest number of documents.
Many of them can be found in the NOAA ftp server and/or in Winlink Catalogue, but many are missing, despite being issued with full WMO standards and being available through the regular internet or this new WWMIWS systems.
Some can be "tweaked", for example Spain offshore bulletin FQMT42MM can be queried in XML format from the direct address
send http://www.aemet.es/xml/maritima/FQNT42MM.xml
it gives an awkward presentation but it's still readable and the size is quite acceptable.
Other bulletins cannot be queried at all, even official GMDSS bulletins for Metarea 3 (Mediterranean) West and East are not available through email, they have no static web address.

Mailasail has metarea 3 - as well as the others - by return email

send an email with: metarea3.txt in the subject.., nothing in the body, to weather@mailasail.com

I was looking for a more general access to all sort of products with WMO header, preferably from official sources.
BTW I just tried the Mailasail server for Metarea2, 3, 4, 5 and replies all came with bulletins dated April 12th :(

well, it's not clear from you first post whether you know it or not..., because you provide a link to the webserver for the UK met stuff

but all the UK met text and graphic products are available by return email from NOAA (an official source) using the NOAA FTP Mail service

for example

an email to nws.ftpmail.ops@noaa.gov

with an empty subject

and with the body containing:

open
cd data
cd raw
cd fq
get fqnt21.egrr..txt
quit

returns fqnt21 - MET Area 1 High Seas Bulletin

with the correct date! I checked.

All the UK graphic forecasts are also available

Procedure is described here: FTPMail: Products via E-Mail

UK met stuff at the bottom

but this is not all the WMO products - I don't know about availability of the rest of it
