Does anyone have plans to sail either over Christmas or New Year?

We plan to do NY afloat, that is if the Atlantic storms will let us, Having read the Tom Cunliffe article in the Jan YM, I can see us at anchor in Newtown, the Eber keeping us nice and warm below decks, with frost above.

Or should we go to Cowes or Yarmouth and see what the pubs have to offer?

If you like your own company I think Newtown will offer peace and tranquility but not much in the way of festivities.

Personally a run ashore at either Cowes or Yarmouth would be more preferable in the winter.

Thought we might nip around to the Yealm on New Years day - weather permitting..... should be pretty quiet this time of year, would be veen better if it was cold, crisp with just the right amount of wind for a brisk sail. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
