Coming from a GPS antenna I have the following 8 cables. Can you please confirm which need to be connected to the Raymarine 85001 box and where.
GPS RX+ - NMEA-0183 signal received from plotter
GPS TX+ - NMEA-0183 signal transmitted to plotter
GPS RX- - signal ground
GPS TX- - signal ground
GND - signal ground
Shield
Diff In - RTCM-SC104 signal from DGPS Beacon receiver
GPS PWR +

I have 12V connected to GPS PWR + & GND.
Do I connect the TX (+&-) to the 'NMEA in' terminals?
Do I need to use the RX (+&-) ?
Also Is there a problem with having two GPS antennas connecting into the system at the same time?
Thanks.

I have one of these, but I dont have any connection details here (on the boat). Without thinking very much, you may find this thread useful - not a lot, but something. I can add that I have an 'old' Raymarine GPS on the system as well as a Garmin 128, but the Raymarine is programmed as a slave, so just repeats gps info. I am sure 2 active GPS's is not on.

PS Having read your post a little better, there should be only one signal on an input of the E85001 box, whether 'NMEA IN' or 'Seatalk IN'. Without having my little diagram, I can't say whether you can have the outputs loaded more than once.

We also have the Raymarine interface but as for Denbigh, the diagram is also on the boat. When I wired it up a year ago it seemed straightforward - ie I think the GPS TX +ve goes to the NMEA in and the -ve either to the ground or an NMEA in ground (if there is one) - but dont quote me on it. Not sure we had Rx wires from the GPS - try it without them connected.

Thanks for your help. Had another look at it today and found that I had transposed the NMEA 'in' and 'out' on the wiring diagram I had sketched out. So althought it looked right against the diagram, I actually had the signal in and out back to front. Doh!
Now appears to work correctly.
Again thanks.
