I' m looking to connect an "external" Piezo buzzer to my B&G Zeus 3 plotter. I actually want the buzzer down below, possibly close to the VHF. I think the VHF is connected to the plotter via NMEA 2000 - for sharing AIS etc.
Whilst the (cockpit mounted) plotter instructions show where to connect the alarm (at the plotter end) I want to avoid running wires that distance. Does anybody know if there is a way to connect an audible alarm elsewhere on the NMEA 2000 NW? I' imagining there may be a T connector somewhere in the interior of the boat
Or, do I have to connect the external alarm directly to the plotter?
